Traveling across the country is the most beautiful feeling I can ever express. This gallery showcases some of the most beautiful scenarios that I have witnessed while trotting the states of India. Starting from landscapes, I wanted to cover even beautiful faces, documentaries and more...

Hanging Glaciers of KGL
The hanging glaciers, visible from Shitkadi, are more than decades old and they will take another 100 to melt. These beautiful horns were highlighted by the afternoon Sun, on the day we reached the village from Srinagar.
I never thought that Kashmir will make me more drawn towards it than the Dolomites in Italy! Yeah the comparison should not be done but the range of colors here is indeed no short from Paradise.

Baby Feet - a Purity

Shepherd's Child
Who does not love a cute sheep? Mountain sheeps are more fluffy and adorable and meeting them at 14000ft above sea level is more thrilling than ever! Here is a mountain sheep after crossing Gadsar Pass in KGL Trek.

Chhau Props - Purulia Essence

Just a Brush-Up
Look at this little boy - a 10-year-old pure soul! I met him during an early morning stroll along Muradi lake, Branti, West Bengal. The villagers there were busy with their morning chores, while I stepped down the stones up to the point where the water touched my feet as well. I spoke with this infant who was so happy with his simple life, brushing teeth with a neem stem. I asked about his plan for the day and all he said was that he will be playing with his friends, after having some breakfast. Then he would study for an hour (that was the only time he would touch his books though). And then again his afternoon will go on running errands! I loved his adorable smile and could not resist taking a snap of his cute face. Early mornings are indeed full of joy and harmony.

Couple of Masks

Faces of Purulia
The most mentionable dance of the district is Chhau. This belongs to one of the top folk dances of India where the people wear masks of different mythological characters, dressed like them and put up a whole act on the mythical stories. Such mask makers are a gem to our culture and dedicating this shot to them.

Purbasthali Stories
Purbasthali wetlands is a place near to Nabadwip, West Bengal where you can shoot photographs of exotic water birds and as well as Raptors. The entire time of photography, you need to stay on a boat. The frame gives you an idea about the Purbasthali lifestyle

Tree Scape - Vintage
The moment I saw this solitary tree in the lush green valleys backed by beautiful clouds, the Windows XP wallpaper came into my mind. A vertical juxtaposition of blues and greens creating a soothing feel

Purity in Magenta

The First Light
When we trek along the lap of Himalayas, there is nothing more satisfying than watching the first lights just after waking up. Painting the mountain rocks in gold, the sun was just rising up when we were setting out for our next camp. Majestic blue hues and warm tones on the rocks stole our hearts for sure.

Purity in Yellow

Ray Of God
The shot is taken in the ground floor of the temple just in front of the entrance, where I could stand in a spot, perfect enough to get mesmerized by the divine beauty of the sunrays entering the temple through the temple roof top. It was parallel to the stare of Lord Krishna and it made me feel that God himself is spreading his blessings through the Sun, thus enlightening the mankind. A play of steep highlights and darker shadows become a never ending challenge in this situation and the crowd that happens at the temple is a mentionable one during the peak time. There are markets in front of the entry gate if you ever want to take home something and don't forget to visit the reservoir behind as the chariot of God is submerged there which is taken out in Holi, Janmasthami and more...

Under the Mountain Guards
On the way to Nichnai Camp, as I ascended keeping Nichnai stream to my right, I kept falling in love with the horn mountains illuminated with the setting sunrays. And there goes a snap with my traveler partner and life light posing beneath the godly view.

Sealing Tyre-tubes
On our way to Baranti, Purulia West Bengal we faced a punctured tyre and we settled for half an hour to make it right in a roadway workshop. Taking that to my little advantage, I loved interacting with the local people who were basically labors, having their mid day meal and I could describe the feel of a tyre-mechanist through my frame depicting their work style and how they help doctoring our vehicles.

The Cheeseball

The Flower Boy
This image above was shot at the foothills of Jaychandi Pahar, West Bengal, India. Kids were selling the hand-crafted flowers and many more beautiful craftworks made of cane all over the steps to the top of the hill. Their only source of income is by selling their handcrafts which defines how eager they are to conserve their culture & heritage. One thing I observed is that they will keep chasing you unless you buy something from them... Although quite provoking, such is their livelihood.

The Magical Flow
Hailing from the beautiful forests of Maredumili, the signature waterfalls inside the forest is magical. Believe me when I say this is one of the best refreshing waterfalls you can see near Telangana. It is a seasonal waterfall and also one of the must visit places in Maredumilli. Jalatharangini Waterfalls is a cascade of running water amidst forest and rocks. This is a multi-tier waterfall. During monsoon this small waterfall is in full gush and would be a heaven for nature lovers. The water of the fall is crystal clear and one can take a bath under the falls.
One needs to walk 150 m to reach the falls from the entry point which takes 30 minutes. The trekking path is slippery and little strenuous. The waterfall is maintained by local tribes and they maintain the area by making steps and preparing easy Jungle path with side barricade supports. There is an ample of parking space for the vehicles.
