Crowned Artist
When it comes to beauty, the Yellow Crowned Woodpecker is a no less than any other woodpeckers. These small birds are the most active zi have deen yet, pecking every other tree in the forest, searching for a feast.
It was my 3rd or 4th trip to Narsapur and I was pretty much hopeless, the day being barren in the search of Paradise Flycatcher. But while I was returning to my bike, all of a sudden I could hear 'tak-tak-tak' sound spontaneously and I knew it was a pecker! Turned round, searched for 5 6 mins and there it was high up in the trees with sunlit forest in the back.

Judging the New Home
Well, everyone needs a change in house. We people too buy new apartments, but these Weavers are far more efficient. A TRANSITION as I call it, depicts the Male BAYA WEAVER looking at its new house from the old one. It collects all essential raw materials from the old house to add into its new one. And after many hours of hard work, voila! Here it is.. One of the stories that I always wanted to tell..

Couple Fights!
The GREEN PIGEONS here, somewhat display the common behaviour as an Indian couple! - "The wife gets angry on the husband, the wife stays angry while not talking. And the husband keeps looking at her trying to console and understand what he has done! But still the wife loves him & can't go away from him in this vast world." Always a funny bird to Photograph. See the expressions!😃

Flamingoes are one of those birds which birdwatchers treat as a bliss every time. The month of March is nearly an end to their migration season when they come from far away places to make a colony and survive in comparatively pleasant places.
I was in the heart of Gandipet Lake with @bidhanchmondal , where I never ever imagined of getting this beauty and all of a sudden, my lens could capture the traditional One-Leg-Stand and I clearly knew it was my time to cover some more kilometers to go in their vicinity to capture!

Pygmy & Me
Pygmy & Me
I was literally in cloud nine to find this inside the dense Narsapur forest range. Not only because its exotic to me but it was more due to the amazing lights that kept this miniature pecker in the natural spotlights.
It was searching for small insects and hence the inverted hanging like its gym day!

Sickle with Eyes
The Black Headed Ibis is one of my favourite birds of the family - the only reason being it comes in black n white and I love monochromes.

Common Greenshank
Was it too down to earth?

Master of Camouflage
Well our guide spotted it from our running gypsy from a distance and hence let me tell you the guides of the wildlife safaris are immensely trained and they have keen eyes supported by their knowledge of habitat. - presenting the camouflage expert 'Savannah Nightjar'

A Declining Generation
The Slender-Billed Vulture is one of the greatest vulture species whose number has stood below 1000 now, declining about 97% in the last 30 years! It's due to the prolonged use of NSAID Diclofenac on cattle to relieve their pain in their dying years.
Even after the introduction of Meloxicam, the production is not high enough to replace all Diclofenac usage over the world. The drastic decrement of the Slender Billed Vulture has let us know the importance of Vultures in our ecosystem as a scavenger more distinctly.

Sandpiper - Morning Hues
When the Sun rises up, all the birds start rolling their activities and its a crowd of winged furry friends in the lakeside. The Marsh Sandpiper was a guest in the lot and after an hour of wait, it appeared among the mists, blessed with the golden hues.

A Worm Breakfast
The woods along the beaches are heavenly for any birding squad if you get an early morning shot of 𝙃𝙖𝙬𝙠-𝘾𝙪𝙘𝙠𝙤𝙤 getting its breakfast. The shot was taken from a shrub where we were crouching just to hide ourself from the bird. They are highly homo-phobic if there is a word like that 🤔.

Leafy Bite
Inspite of all the sounds and disturbances outside, Mr. Ossy here kept on munching his breakfast. Featured in Discovery UK

Gulp n Go
'Great Cormorant with Catch'
It was all a chase, wait for an hour, clinging on to the same spot after we saw from a distance that the cormorant was having its breakfast. First few shots were missed as we couldn't get on to the right spot. But then several tries to get the right light and moment. Finally a gift to ourselves that we could endeavour.

Early Morning Peek
Baya Weavers are one of the most creative ones when it comes to nesting. Their colony is usually a large one consisting more than 30 weavers. Here is one ready for flight!
So, How I shot it?

This is an early morning shot where I was standing in front studying their behaviour, I could witness the sunlight coming angular-way, lighting up its beautiful nest where the weaver was just bout to fly away! It was a scope for a dreamy mood which I got...

The Verditer
It's mid of November and we finally found the gorgeous Verditer Flycatcher - a migratory bird from the Himalayas into the central forests of Telangana.
Probably it would stay for a few weeks & set out for southern parts!

He rose like a gladiator, chasing the smaller fighters like his daily bread. The Marsh Harrier in its habitat shone by the little sunlight that came out from the bunch of clouds.

Angry Birds 2
A little ringed plover, who just got too much comfortable with me sitting on the muddy lake side.

Color Fantasy
The Coconut Lorikeet they are parrots of the Plains and Highlands. They are distributed by a wide variety of habitats such as mangrove forests, Moors and heathland near the coast, wooded meadows, galleries of trees, reforestation during regeneration and rainforests. They are birds sedentary, that does not prevent to do short trips looking for trees in flower. Because of these movements, populations appear to vary locally. Very gregarious, they live in pairs or in bands that can vary from a few birds to several hundred, Depending on the availability of food resources.
